Pulsed Light

Pulsed light is a form of electromagnetic radiation emitted in discrete, transient bursts rather than continuously. As an academic concept and methodological approach, it involves the study of generating, characterizing, and applying light characterized by short pulse durations, high peak intensities, and specific repetition rates, enabling investigation of ultrafast phenomena and high-energy density interactions with matter across diverse scientific and engineering disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, and materials science.
