Open-chain Dynamics
Open-Chain Dynamics is a mechanical system modeling framework within multibody dynamics that specifically characterizes the motion and forces in a series-connected, tree-topology kinematic chain with no closed loops, where each rigid body is sequentially linked by joints allowing relative motion, and the system evolves under the influence of external forces and torques according to the Newton-Euler equations of motion.
