Apoptosome Formation
Apoptosome Formation is the molecular assembly process in which cytochrome c, released from mitochondria, binds to Apaf-1 in the presence of dATP or ATP, triggering oligomerization into a heptameric platform that recruits and activates procaspase-9 to initiate the intrinsic pathway of apoptosis.
