Sequential Inoculation
Sequential Inoculation is a winemaking technique in the context of malolactic fermentation wherein the deliberate introduction of lactic acid bacteria occurs after a significant initiation of primary alcoholic fermentation by yeast, thereby distinguishing it from simultaneous co-inoculation and minimizing microbial competition while allowing for controlled progression of both fermentations.
