Provider Switching

Provider Switching is a theoretical construct in healthcare research that denotes the phenomenon whereby a patient discontinues care with one healthcare provider and initiates care with another within the same professional category, distinguished from related concepts by its focus on the act of changing providers rather than the continuity or coordination of care over time.
