The Role of Interest in Motivation and Learning

Abstract

Interest is exhibited by all people for different reasons, in different situations and in varying degrees. It is not correct to say that students at school are not interested. However, they do, not always have interest for what the school curriculum offers. Research indicates that interest is a significant factor influencing the motivation of students and consequently their learning.
