Developing criteria and guidance for assessing teaching excellence

Abstract

This article arose from a workshop provided at the 18 annual SEDA conference in November 2013 and the interest I and others at my institution have in teaching excellence. The article will outline a project that has been undertaken, some of the findings we shared with participants in the workshop, and the criteria and guidance for assessing teaching excellence that have been developed as a result of drawing all the findings together. The article concludes with reference to future plans to continue the work now the initial project has finished.
