Young Learners

Young Learners is a theoretical construct in vocabulary assessment that refers to children in the early stages of cognitive and linguistic development, typically between the ages of 3 and 12, whose language learning processes are characterized by emergent literacy skills, limited prior knowledge of vocabulary, and reliance on contextual and multimodal input for comprehension and acquisition.
