About

Trajectory optimization is a subfield of optimal control theory focused on determining the sequence of states and control inputs that minimizes or maximizes a defined performance index (objective function) for a dynamic system over a specified time horizon. This methodology involves solving complex mathematical problems constrained by the system's governing differential equations, inequality/equality constraints on states and controls, and fixed or free boundary conditions, fundamentally seeking the most efficient or desirable path through the system's state space.
