Tau Acetylation
Tau Acetylation is a post-translational modification of the tau protein characterized by the addition of an acetyl group to specific lysine residues, which distinguishes it from other tau modifications by altering tau's conformation, stability, and propensity to aggregate in the context of neurodegenerative tauopathies.
