Task Analysis is a systematic analytic method in ergonomics, human factors psychology, human-centered and interaction design, instructional design, metacognition research, and user experience design that decomposes human–system tasks into their constituent goals, subtasks, operations, decisions, and information requirements to formally characterize how people actually and ideally perform those tasks.
