Pathogen Source Attribution

Pathogen Source Attribution is a scientific method used in epidemiology and microbial forensics that identifies the origin of infectious agents by determining the most probable source population or reservoir from which a pathogen was transmitted, distinguishing it from related analytical approaches through its focus on quantifying contributions of specific sources to infection events.
