Interleukin-17 Pathway

The Interleukin-17 Pathway is a signaling cascade mediating pro-inflammatory immune responses through the activation and regulation of interleukin-17 cytokines, primarily produced by T helper 17 cells, that promotes host defense against extracellular pathogens and contributes to the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases by inducing recruitment of immune cells and production of inflammatory mediators.
