Hydrogen Atom Transfer is a mechanistic process in radical chemistry wherein a hydrogen atom is transferred between substrates via concurrent movement of a proton and an electron, distinguished from other hydrogen-transfer mechanisms by its concerted, radical-mediated pathway prevalent in photochemical synthesis and kinetic isotope effect studies.
