Auger Recombination
Auger Recombination is a non-radiative recombination process in semiconductor heterostructures and quantum dots wherein an electron and hole recombine without emitting light, transferring their excess energy to a third charge carrier through Coulomb interaction, distinguishing it from radiative recombination mechanisms by the absence of photon emission.
