Hyperuricemia is accompanied by an altered composition of multiple gut bacteria, of which <i>Lactobacillus</i> is a key genus. <i>Lactobacillus johnsonii</i> YH1136 may ameliorate renal involvement in HUA via the gut-kidney axis.
