Zn diffusion at different temperatures has been performed in keeping the arsenic pressure at the same value for all the temperatures. The effective diffusion coefficient and the surface concentration obtained under those conditions are temperature dependent and temperature independent, respectively. A generalization of the interstitial‐substitutional model is presented to account for these facts.
