Unfair Competition
Unfair Competition is a body of private-law doctrine within the law of economic torts that proscribes competitive conduct in trade which, by being deceptive, misleading, dishonest or otherwise contrary to honest commercial practices, causes or is likely to cause economic harm to competitors or confusion or deception of consumers, including through acts that create confusion as to commercial origin or geographical indications or that discredit a competitor’s goods or activities.
