T Cell Activation

T Cell Activation is a cellular immune process in adaptive immunity whereby a naïve or resting T lymphocyte, upon recognizing a specific peptide–MHC complex on an antigen-presenting cell together with appropriate co-stimulatory signals, initiates intracellular signaling cascades that induce its clonal expansion and differentiation into effector and memory T cells.
