Road Friction Estimation
Road Friction Estimation is a methodological construct in automotive control systems that enables the determination of the maximum attainable friction coefficient between the tire and the road surface by analyzing real-time vehicle dynamic responses, thereby distinguishing itself from general braking models through its specific focus on adaptive, on-line identification of road-tire interface characteristics.
