Public Contracting
Public Contracting is a formal governance mechanism within the domain of contract management wherein a public-sector entity engages in the procurement of goods, services, or works through legally binding agreements that are inherently incomplete due to the difficulty of specifying all future contingencies, thereby necessitating institutional frameworks to allocate residual control rights and manage opportunistic behavior under asymmetric information.
