Mtor-dependent Initiation

mTOR-Dependent Initiation is a regulatory mechanism of eukaryotic translation initiation in which the activation of the mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) kinase signaling pathway selectively enhances the assembly of the translation preinitiation complex at the 5' cap of mRNA, thereby promoting the recruitment of the small ribosomal subunit in a growth- and nutrient-sensitive manner.
