Leader Openness

Leader Openness is a leadership construct characterized by a leader’s intentional willingness to solicit, listen to, and welcome upward feedback, opinions, and concerns from subordinates, particularly on issues involving organizational risks or weaknesses, thereby distinguishing it from general communication or transformational leadership behaviors by its specific focus on inviting critical upward input to foster a speak-up culture.
