The market for halal foods is rising in Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim population. Indonesia has not taken advantage of these resources; for example, the current Halal Assurance System was not implemented in collaboration with general stakeholders such as breeders, slaughterhouses, and logistics. This research explores how Blockchain technology can help with the integration and accountability of Halal Assurance System stakeholders' data activities. The use of Blockchain to improve halal product traceability that would boost consumer trust, raising awareness of the value of halal products. Furthermore, customers can access Blockchain in slaughtering activities on their smartphones to achieve food traceability. Focused on supporting the Indonesian Halal Assurance System (HAS 23000), this study proposes a food traceability system model using a blockchain conceptual method. Hopefully, it would help Indonesians to avoid the halal issue crisis in Indonesia.
