About

Traceability is the property of a result of a measurement whereby it can be related to a reference through a documented unbroken chain of calibrations, each contributing to the measurement uncertainty. As a broader academic concept, it investigates the establishment and maintenance of verifiable connections between entities, states, or artifacts throughout a process or system lifecycle. Its significance lies in enabling verification, validation, accountability, and understanding the history and relationships within complex systems or processes.
