Abstract

This viewpoint explores the relationship between provision of fieldwork opportunities and recruitment. We believe that provision of fieldwork opportunities provides organisations with powerful opportunities to recruit and employ the most suitable occupational therapists for arising vacancies. Furthermore, we maintain that fieldwork placements for occupational therapy students are able to strengthen the congruence between the skills of graduating students and the requirements of an ever changing health-care delivery sector.
