The design of functional (total care) products

Abstract

The design and features of functional products are discussed. The functional products are total care products comprising of hardware and support services. The design of a total care product involves creation of a new service system or the modification of the existing system. The design process improves the customer relationship and satisfaction. The reusability of hardware is considered as a key feature in the sustainable design of a functional product.
