The effect of nitrogen fertilizer and non nitrogen fertilizer grown conditions with various densities of plants (20x20, 40x20, 60x20 cm) on yield and quality traits of Ocimum basilicum L. (Basil) were investigated under ecological conditions of Aydin during consecutive three years. As a result of this research, it was determined that the highest amount of green herb yield (4197.5 kg ha-1), drug herb yield (1078.6 kg ha-1), drug leaves yield (671.1 kg ha-1), essential oil ratio (0.826 %) and essential oil yield (5.164 L ha-1) were determined in 20x20 cm plant density with nitrogen fertilizer conditions, from 2000 to 2002 years. However, the highest essential oil ratio was obtained under non-nitrogen fertilizer condition with 20x20 cm plant density.
