ABSTRACT EQUILIBRIUM moisture content of Plains bluestem grass seed at 20 C and 32 C was measured for 20 to 93 percent humidity and fitted to a Chung-Pfost equ-tion (R2 = 0.87). Seed purity did not influence the coeff-cients sufficiently to warrant the additional cost of in-cluding this factor in the equilibrium moisture-humidity equation. The thin layer drying equation constants were found at 20 C to 39 C to vary with air relative humidity (R2 = 0.99). The drying half-time was reduced from 7.3 to 1.7 h when the air humidity was reduced from 68 to 32 percent
