How does the quality of a supervisory relationship affect supervisors' evaluations of supervisees? Supervisees' learning and evaluation take place in the context of the supervisory relationship, the quality of which can either foster learning and evaluation or hinder these processes. This article outlines how the quality of the supervisory relationship can impact supervisees' learning and supervisors' evaluations of supervisees. Recommendations on how to prevent and repair weak supervisory relationships, and evaluate in the context of lenient and weak supervisory relationships are provided.
