Abstract

A number of diagnostically important ions have been identified in the electron impact induced mass spectra of various glucosinolates and desulphoglucosinolates. These, together with appropriate secondary fragmentation processes, enable the structures of these molecules to be elucidated. Preliminary results are presented which suggest that chemical ionization mass spectrometry may prove to be an even more effective technique in this area.
