Essential Oil of<i>Prangos uloptera</i>DC. from Iran

Abstract

Abstract The essential oil from aerial parts of Prangos uloptera DC. from Iran was isolated by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC/MS. Twenty-eight constituents representing 89.1% of the oil were identified. The major constituents of the oil were β-caryophyllene (27.1%), caryophyllene oxide (15.9%) and α-pinene (12.4%).
