Abstract

One of the technologies in common use at university computer centers is optical mark reading (OMR). At Clemson University this form of input is becoming more widely used; as a result, faculty and staff who have had no previous contact with computing are beginning to depend on computer processing of their multiple-choice tests and survey forms. Student government elections have been processed using OMR input. As OMR usage has increased, the need has arisen for additional user services support in the areas of OMR documentation, education, utility programming, and office procedures.
