Universal Screening

Universal Screening is a systematic, brief assessment process within a Response to Intervention (RTI) or multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework in which the same empirically validated measures are administered to all students at designated intervals to identify individuals at risk for poor academic or behavioral outcomes and in need of more intensive or targeted interventions than those provided in core instruction.
