Tail-sitter Design

Tail-Sitter Design is a fixed-wing vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft configuration in which the entire airframe transitions between a vertical resting posture for takeoff and landing and a horizontal orientation for forward flight, distinguished from other VTOL designs by its tail-standing ground attitude and absence of dedicated lift rotors.
