Reshoring

Reshoring is the strategic relocation of manufacturing and service activities from foreign locations back to a company's home country. As an academic concept and research domain, it systematically investigates the complex drivers (e.g., supply chain vulnerabilities, geopolitical risks, policy incentives, evolving cost structures), processes, and multi-faceted socio-economic impacts of this geographic shift in global production networks. It is significant for analyzing evolving international business strategies, regional economic development dynamics, and national industrial policy responses to globalization challenges.
