About

Photogrammetry is a scientific discipline and technological method for obtaining reliable information about physical objects and the environment through the process of recording, measuring, and interpreting photographic images. As a research field, it investigates the geometric properties of objects and spatial relationships, fundamentally characterized by its reliance on the principles of perspective geometry to reconstruct three-dimensional reality from two-dimensional image data. Its significance lies in enabling accurate mapping, measurement, and three-dimensional modeling for diverse applications in surveying, engineering, archaeology, remote sensing, and virtual reality.
