Pathway-based Repurposing

Pathway-Based Repurposing is a methodological framework in drug repurposing research that identifies novel therapeutic applications for existing compounds by systematically analyzing their effects on disease-associated biological pathways, distinguishing it from target- or phenotype-driven approaches through its focus on pathway-level modulation rather than individual molecular targets or observable traits.
