P53-mediated Arrest

p53-Mediated Arrest is a molecular mechanism of cell-cycle arrest characterized by the activation of the tumor suppressor protein p53 in response to cellular stress, which subsequently induces the transcription of downstream target genes that enforce cell-cycle checkpoint control and prevent progression through the cell cycle.
