Hot Switching

Hot Switching is a switching technique in RF MEMS devices wherein the electrical signal is applied to the switch while it is in the process of transitioning between on and off states, distinguishing it from cold switching by permitting actuation under active RF signal conditions, thereby affecting reliability and contact degradation mechanisms.
