Categorization In Infancy
Categorization in Infancy is a theoretical construct in developmental psychology that specifies the cognitive processes through which infants group perceptual, conceptual, or functional instances into meaningful classes during the first years of life, distinguishing it from later-developing categorization mechanisms by its reliance on early sensory, statistical, and social learning capacities.
