Apprenticeship Learning is a policy learning framework in which an agent learns to perform a task by observing expert demonstrations and inferring the underlying reward structure or policy, distinguishing itself from other imitation learning methods through its focus on indirect supervision via behavioral cloning or inverse reinforcement learning rather than direct policy mapping.
