Adhesion Maturation

Adhesion Maturation is a biomechanical process denoting the progressive stabilization and reinforcement of cell-matrix or cell-cell adhesive contacts through the recruitment of structural and signaling proteins, actin cytoskeletal reorganization, and increased molecular clustering, distinguishing it from initial adhesion formation by its temporal evolution and functional strengthening.
