The biological values of proteins

Abstract

IN the preceding papers of this series [Chick and Roscoe, 1930; Boas Fixsen, 1930] a description was given of the method used in this laboratory to estimate the biological values of proteins by the balance sheet method, using adult rats as experimental animals. Experience obtained subsequently in carrying out a large number of experiments has led to the introduction of certain modifications which seem worthy of note.
