This article presents the first version of Schlossberg’s transition model and its recent revision made in 1995. The model can be used in counselling adults who experience personal and professional transitions. The fundamental concepts of this model and their interrelations are also illustrated. The last part of the paper provides a brief critical evaluation of the model.
