Abstract

More than 20 million children worldwide suffer from severe acute malnutrition. The situation is especially critical in the Horn of Africa--the countries of Ethiopia, Somalia, and Kenya. UNICEF is effectively responding to that humanitarian challenges by providing specially formulated therapeutic foods to those in need. A more diversified supply base and more efficient supply chain are important parts of the story.
