<span>This paper reports the results of a study on the relationships among business strategy, environment, and control system attributes in three countries, namely, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. Multiple discriminant analysis revealed significant relationships between business strategy and selected environmental and control system attributes. While the discriminate functions derived could be used to classify firms into strategy types, several of the environmental and control system attributes differed by national contexts. Limitations of the research and areas for further research are discussed.</span>
