Abstract

Twelve lactating tIolstein cows were used in a trial to evaluate the effect of feeding roughage separate from the concentrate, as compared to a complete mixed feed. Two levels of molasses added to the ration were evaluated. Treatments were (1) 13% molasses ration (complete), (2) 13% molasses rationroughage fed separately, (3) 19.7% molasses ration (complete), and (4) 19.7% molasses ration-roughage fed separately.
