Elastic scattering cross sections of photons at large angles for target atoms with K-absorption edge energy near 59.5 keV have been calculated using the anomalous dispersion model. The results calculated for representative target atoms have been compared with the results obtained from exact numerical partial-wave methods of Kissel and co-workers (1986) and the authors' new experimental results.
