BAIN, BRUCE. Verbal Regulation of Cognitive Processes: A Replication of Luria's Procedures with Bilingual and Unilingual Infants. CHILD DEVELOPMENT, 1974, 47, 543-546. Groups of 22-24-month-old Alsatian infants being raised according to either the bilingual principle of 1 person:1 language or mixed bilingual usage or unilingually were tested for degree of voluntary control of cognitive processes using Luria's methodology. Luria's methodology proved reliable. Interesting trends emerged but no significant differences were evidenced.
